Thank you for your thorough work in explaining your protocol. I appreciate that you have selected ones that do not have the toxic fillers that many supplements contain and you also caution against swapping with others possibly for that reason. But I was a little surprised to see you prescribe so many synthetic vitamins.
Many people who are naturally-minded use only food-based vitamins, sparingly (only when you TEST deficient) and herbs. We stay away from synthetic vitamins because they often have harmful effects, are often poorly absorbed, can cause overdose & disrupt the delicate and complex balance needed by the body to function optimally, and do not provide the complete array of nutrients that are bound to organic compounds as essential co-factors.
Since you have presented this very thoroughly and cited some studies, you obviously care about giving your best protocol, and that means you probably welcome questions and comments, right? 😏 I would appreciate your perspective on this and wonder if you would consider providing an alternative list of food-based supplements. For example, could I take a naturally-sourced trace mineral supplement instead of all the synthetic vitamins, and just add the herbs you recommend? Thank you!
In the 5th point of the detox protocol, should "for 30 drops" be "for 30 days"? That's the only way I can make sense of that instruction. As it is, it seems to contradict the 7th point, because according to point 5, why would you increase to 300 drops if you had no detox reactions after 195 drops?
5. Iodine can be reduced to 1 mg per every 10 pounds of body weight AFTER complete cessation of all detox symptoms for 30 drops as you continue to go up in iodine following the schedule. It’s about the total weight of iodine in the system.
7. It is not uncommon to go above this number. As an example, I (Dr. C) went to 300 drops daily but did not have a single detox reaction after 195 drops daily.
My husband and I just had our first appointments with you in Boulder. I'd like to start this iodine protocol and then the liver flush (We both have past experience with lugo's iodine per Dr Brownstein's protocol and liver support via the Gerson Therapy). But, after reading the above article, it sounds like I should be getting direct guidance from you instead of doing it on my own. Can you clarify?
Dr.C, would this protocol enable one to come off their levothyroxine for hypothyroidism and resume a normal thyroid function on their own in time? I have been on same dose of 75mcg for 20 years and want to ween off of it and take more of a holistic approach. I’m hoping I can start this protocol and slowly ween off the meds? Thoughts, recommendations on timing of weening down on levothyroxine doses and frequency of tsh testing in relation to the protocol? Consequences to doing this pro prom with levothyroxine on board or hypothyroidism without the presence of nodules?
Very intimidating and aggressive protocol. Did I mention scary? Even the maintenance dose (30 mg per day) seems like a lot of iodine! Would that be for the rest of my life? How many drops would that be?
So would you suggest liver detox protocol first or start the iodine. Fatty liver confirmed by CT scan. And are the enemas only for GI/colon problems?

What is the calculations to get drops converted to milligrams. How many drops is equal to 1 mg.?
1 drop = 1830 mcg or 1.83 mg
In regards to the capsules, which is best, the vegetarian or the gelatin capsules?
Dr Craig, how can we schedule an appointment with you sir complex case, liver cancer, skin cancer, needs weekly paracentesis?
Can you please add me to the Full Script Dispensary so that I can acquire the supplements?

What would be the efficacy of just doing the daily maintenance dose without mega-dosing, first?
Would you also add a recommended dosage *goal and how to calculate it?
*starting very slow, what would be the dosage goal?
Thanks. Great article.
Can you expand on Boron at some point?
I will indeed
